A vibrant and inclusive venue
Ambleside Parish Centre is also a charitable organisation that supports, delivers and facilitates a variety of events, experiences and community led activity.
Cared for and managed collaboratively by a core team of staff, dedicated volunteers and a Board of Trustees; the Centre is run by and for the community.
Open to all, the Centre is the venue for an eclectic range of events and activities for visitors to the area, throughout the year. From fell runners to fine artists, there is something for everyone!
The aim of the Centre is to provide, and facilitate others to offer, experiences that benefit the community by:
- Enabling engagement with others to build positive connections
- Offering experiences that can increase physical and mental wellbeing
- Encouraging a better connected and therefore more resilient community.
Built and opened in 2006; the Centre was a realised vision thanks to the combined funding and efforts of The Anglican Church, The Methodist Church and Heritage Lottery Funding. The Wesley Room remains the worship space for the local Methodist congregation.
